Education: I have a Bachelor's degree in Administration from the National Autonomous University of Mexico with a semester abroad at the University of Northumbria and a Master’s joint degree in Tourism Management from the University of Southern Denmark, the University of Ljubljana, and the University of Girona.
Work experience: I started working part-time early in my career as an intern in a digital marketing startup (DC Estrategia) and then a market research multinational company (Nielsen), in both places my tasks were related to strategic communication and data analysis. Later, I started a full-time job at a pharmaceutical company as a Marketing Assistant (Sanfer). Then, I started working in a mass media company (Televisa) that operates 18 casinos in Mexico. There, I had a Strategy Supervisor position and my tasks were related to strategic management and new casino openings. Then, I changed to a Strategic Alliances Manager role, where I helped to develop marketing and user experience strategies. Later on, while studying for my Master's degree, I worked part-time as a Junior Investigator for a Future of Work project with the GPAI and also as a part-time Marketing Strategist for a tech startup that develops a platform for Augmented Reality creation (Hololink).
My experience
PhD: During my Master's studies I became involved with projects related to the human side of technology. After writing my thesis on intelligent automation in the service sector, I decided to continue this research journey with a PhD. Now, I am investigating digital transformation from an organizational and managerial perspective.
